Content Policy
Content Policy
Effective May 26, 2026. This policy explains what content is allowed across the TastyPals website and app, and how we may moderate it.
This Content Policy applies to the TastyPals Labs Ltd website, Taste ID flows, public restaurant pages, app-related pages, and the TastyPals mobile app. By accessing or using the website or app, you agree to this Content Policy, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.
1. Why this policy exists
TastyPals is built to help people make better restaurant decisions. That only works if the content people see is honest, useful, lawful, and grounded in real experience. This policy is meant to protect diners, restaurants, and the overall quality of the product.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to content or behavior connected to the website or app, including:
- restaurant ratings, notes, reactions, lists, and submissions;
- profile names, avatars, and bio-style text;
- contact messages, partnership inquiries, and feedback sent to us;
- editorial contributions, if invited or submitted;
- behavior intended to manipulate rankings, reviews, or recommendation quality; and
- use of the product in ways that affect other users, restaurants, or our systems.
3. Content that is not allowed
You may not post, upload, submit, or distribute content that:
- is false, misleading, fraudulent, or intentionally deceptive;
- impersonates another person, business, or brand;
- includes hate speech, threats, harassment, or discriminatory abuse;
- contains pornography, sexual exploitation material, or graphic violence;
- encourages illegal activity or instructions for wrongdoing;
- violates another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- contains malware, spam, scams, or attempts to phish or harvest data; or
- is otherwise unlawful, abusive, or harmful.
4. Review and rating integrity
Reviews, notes, and ratings should reflect a real restaurant experience or a good-faith opinion. You may not use the website or app to:
- post fake reviews or fake first-hand claims;
- buy, sell, trade, or coordinate ratings or reviews;
- mass-submit repetitive content to influence rankings;
- pressure others to leave dishonest content; or
- misrepresent a sponsored relationship, employment relationship, or conflict of interest.
We may remove, downrank, hide, or refuse to publish content that appears manipulative, unreliable, or not based on a genuine experience.
5. Restaurant and business information
If you submit a correction, update, or business-related request, it should be accurate and made in good faith. Do not submit false ownership claims, misleading edits, or requests intended to bury accurate information.
6. Intellectual property and reuse
Only submit content you have the right to share. That includes written notes, images, usernames, and other material. You may not upload copied content that infringes another person's rights. You also may not scrape, republish, or systematically extract TastyPals content in a way that competes with, harms, or bypasses the service.
7. Moderation and enforcement
We may, in our discretion and to the extent permitted by law:
- review content before or after publication;
- remove, hide, edit, or decline content;
- limit visibility of suspicious or low-trust submissions;
- restrict access to features or pages;
- suspend or terminate access to the website or app; and
- report serious misconduct to service providers or legal authorities where appropriate.
We do not promise that all prohibited content will be caught immediately, but we reserve broad moderation authority to protect the product and its users.
8. Reporting concerns
If you believe content on TastyPals violates this policy, is deceptive, or infringes your rights, contact hello@tastypals.com. Include the page or restaurant, a short description of the issue, and any useful supporting context.
9. Relationship to other policies
This Content Policy sits alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict, we may interpret and enforce those documents together in a way that best protects the service, users, and legal compliance.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Content Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Continued use of the website or app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
